Back Stage for VEX Robotics

Operating backstage at a stadium-scale event requires complete situational awareness. Having the production team provide a dedicated on-stage video return monitor is invaluable, as it allows me to precisely track the presenter's movements and pacing when I don't have a direct line of sight.

The technical execution for this show was uniquely demanding; the automated rise-and-fall system was engineered from a PTZ rig, requiring an intricate, custom setup. It was also a fantastic opportunity to integrate a Stream Deck into the workflow for mechanical control. While a purpose-built, dedicated rise-and-fall presidential system is always the gold standard, successfully adapting to custom production engineering on the fly is exactly what keeps a high-stakes show running smoothly.
